Nikki Finke humps the shark
In an ongoing spiral into cut and paste journalism , Nikki Finke has nothing to report. The former reporter now just accepts memo's and press releases pre-edited to meet the requirements of her reputation for being Nikki Finke . According to her latest hollow posting "coming soon " Nikki is tired of pretending and sick of her cats judgmental disapproving stare . After moments of letting her instinct for news guide her the nimble fingers she uses to point and click chose another update on a post that seemed random but appears to be edited in the correct font . No longer a feared voice of show business she dedicates her life regurgitating rumors and ignoring real stories in an effort to be invited to Christmas parties and "rub boobs " with the famous people . Once a reporter known to write stories that included information and points of actual interest she has changed her style to reflect what she hopes will be good enough . Nikki reduced her stressful work load to have a more balanced life that was long over due according to her life-coach . The reliable life coach speaking anonymously said that " she IM's Nikki every half hour to validate and remind her to be a human being , not a human doing." . Thanks to her coach's guidance and constant encouragement Nikki's cats are thriving and her much anticipated novel " Coming Soon ,I have the Vapors " is due to be published and will be updated as soon as her computer issues are resolved .
